According to the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, rain is possible in 11 Tamil Nadu districts till Wednesday at 10 a.m.
On Tuesday, the storm that developed in the Bay of Bengal's southeast intensified into a deep depression. On Wednesday (December 11), it will slowly travel west-northwest towards the Sri Lanka-Tamil Nadu coast.
As a result, during the next four days, there will probably be considerable rain along with thunder and lightning in various locations around Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
According to the Meteorological Department, the districts of Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Puducherry, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, and Karaikal are expected to have moderate rainfall until 10 am.
